Our vineyard is the sole source of grapes that we use in the process of winemaking. The vine is located in the Siminoc village, approximately 20 kilometers away from Constanta, on the hills of Murfatlar and stretches on 19 hectares.
The vineyard has all the climatic and pedological advantages that ensure the production of high quality wines: great sun exposure, soil rich in calcareous clay and the influence of the sea breeze.
In 2006, the vine was renewed. We replaced all the existing vine shoot with more performant breeds, we replaced the trellis system, we installed a drip irrigation system and we acquired new gears for the production line.
Our vine consists of autochthon and international breeds, for both white wines – Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Ottonel, Chardonnay, Tamaioasa Romaneasca, Feteasca Regala, Riesling Italian – and red wines – Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Feteasca Neagra, Syrah.
The winery is situated in the heart of Siminoc village, 20 kilometers away from Constanta, and was founded is 1995. At the beginning, the winery had a modest equipment, but at the end of 2009 it was modernized and updated through implementation of a modernization project co-financed by European Regional Development Fund.
Nowadays, the winery of Domeniul Vladoi has the capacity to process 200 tons of grapes and to store 80.000 liters of wine in stainless steel tanks. The winery is equipped with grape sorting line, crusher- destemmer, pneumatic press, stainless steel tanks, installation for temperature controlled fermentation, inert gas system, filters, pumps.
In order to valorize the entire potential of our vine breeds, the selection of the grapes begins in the vineyard. The grapes are harvested manually which allows us to carefully remove the abnormal ones. To avoid grapes smash and must oxidation, the grape bunches are laid in special crates. In the initial phase of processing a new grapes selection it is made. In the second phase, the grapes are gently pressed and destemmed. The juice that runs free in this stage is called the “ravac” must and it is used to produce the premium wines from Ravac line.
Some wines we produce are aged and matured in 225 liters oak barrels produced in France and Romania. This wines are bottled under the name of “Pivnita Basarabilor”.
Controlled condition in the maturation phase allows us to eliminate most of the treatments necessary for stabilization, so that we can keep untainted the organoleptic characteristics that reveal the quality and the value of the wines we produce.
The wine is bottled using a semi-automatic installation with a capacity of 350 bottles per hour. This equipment conserve the level of naturalness, providing the consumers with the plenitude of the wines benefits.
